BILL OGDEN

November 18, 2005

Funeral services for Bill Ogden, 78, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 21, 2005 at the Andrews Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rodney B. Peacock and Rev. Bob Zap officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery.

Bill passed away on Friday, November 18, 2005 at Home Hospice House in Odessa.

He was born October 5, 1927 in Amarillo to Otis Ogden and Dixie Yantis Ogden. He attended Andrews High School til his sophomore year. His parents began to follow Defense Work in 1941, and he graduated from Pleasant Grove, Utah High School in 1944. He served in the U.S. Army during the Occupation of World War II in Seoul, Korea. He returned to Andrews in 1947 and worked at the Phillips Fullerton Plant for a year. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1952 with a B.S. degree in Petroleum Geology, and worked as a geologist for 10 years moving around the country. He moved back to Andrews in 1962 and assumed ownership and operation of the business his father left, Ogden Paint Service, which in 1972 was incorporated into OPSCO, Incorporated. He worked with his son Patrick in his business, Ogden Sprinkler Systems, Inc. of Midland, after retiring from OPSCO. He served 3 years as a director of the Andrews Chamber of Commerce; served 10 years on the Permian General Hospital Board; served on boards and committees for the Boy and Girl Scouts; and served as a Deacon and Elder at the Andrews Presbyterian Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Otis Eugene in 1939.

 He is survived by his 1 son: Patrick Eugene Ogden and wife Roxanne of Midland; 2 daughers: Teresa Ann Hart and husband Don of Midland and Sheila Ann Fernandez and husband Rene of Bonham; 7 grandchildren, Ryan Ogden, Lane Ogden Corby Ogden, Lisann Fernandez, Gavin Fernandez, Donnie Hart and Kayla Hart and 1 great grandchild Evan Hart.

C.E.'EDDIE' FOWLER
August 8th, 2005

 C.E. "Eddie" Fowler, 63, of Andrews died Monday August 8, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.

 Memorial Services are 1:00 PM Friday, at the Andrews Church of God. Jeff Welter of Gardendale will officiate.

 Eddie was born June 18, 1942 in Andrews, Texas and has been a life long Andrews resident. He servded in the US Navy from 1959 to 1961. He worked as Grounds Keeper of the Andrews County Court House for many years.
He loved music and enjoyed hunting when he was young, with his brothers and grandfather.

 He is survived by; Two Sons-Eddie Fowler, Jr of Andrews; Joe Fowler of Andrews; Daughter- Malissa K. Fowler of Corpus Christi, Texas; His Mother- Margie Reed of Andrews; Bothers- David Fowler of Andrews and James Reed of Santa Anna, Texas; Sisters-Julia Rich of San Angelo; Jane Grace of Andrews and Jakie Ann Cowling of South Dakota; and Eight Grandchildren and one Great-granschild.

JULIAN TURNBOW
May 17th, 2005

Julian Turnbow, 80, of Andrews died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrerws.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 21, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ted Short will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery.
Julian was born November 16, 1924 in Lorane, Texas. In 1928, at the age of three, he and his family moved to Andrews. He served in the US Army during World War II. He worked in the oilfield for many years in West Texas. He married Lou Ann Westfall April 5, 1963 in Andrews. He was a long time member of Grace Baptist Church and loved to serve as a greeter there. He enjoyed working in his garden trying to make his roses bloom. He liked to fix thing and reading his Bible. He loved sports; and the Andrews Mustangs and the Dallas Cowboys were his favorites. He also had a bit of a sweet tooth and loved chocolate pie, and he loved living in Andrews. He was preceded in death by his parents and four Brothers.
He is survived by: Wife Lou Ann Turnbow of Andrews; Four Sons- Gary Vaughn of Corpus Christi; Gene Young of Austin, Brad Young of Andrews; Charlie Young of Andrews; Three Daughters- Linda Sue Rumbaugh of Andrews; Marion Sheffield of Andrews; and Martha Bryant of Andrews; One Sister- Lola Haller of Mason, Texas ; 19 Grandchildren and 14- Great-Grandchildren

BYFORD GAYLE SEALY
July 21st, 2005

Byford Gayle Sealy, the only child of Carl and Lurline Sealy was born on February 19, 1926 in Waxahachie, Texas. He died on July 21, 2005 in Andrews. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 24, 2005, at the Andrews Church of Christ. Officiating will be Minister Mark Wilson, and Moody Conner. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Jo Ann of the home, one son Scott Sealy and his wife Gloria of Andrews; two daughters-Gayle Schultz and her husband John of Houston, Texas, and their children Shauna Schultz of Dallas, Texas and Jason Schultz of San Diego, California; Keri Wientjes and her husband Ross of Mound City, South Dakota, and their children, Payton, Pearson, Reece and Channing. He was pre-deceased by his parents and a son Michael Neil Sealy, who died in an automobile accident the day after he finished his junior year at Texas Christian University.
Byford and his parents moved to Andrews in 1929 and Byford graduated from Andrews High School in 1942. He was baptized at the age of 13 in a dirt tank about 10 miles north of Andrews. He attended John Tarleton Agricultural College for one year and then enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of seventeen in 1943 at Marine Recruit Depot in San Diego. Basic training was at Camp Pendleton in California. He served as a machine-gunner on Saipan and Okinawa, an as an MP in the occupation of Japan in Nagasaki after the atom bomb was dropped. He returned home in 1947 and attended what is now the University of North Texas, earning a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Music in 1951. He then became the band director in Hawkins for one year before re-entering the Marine Corps as an officer in 1952. While in Hawkins he was also the tuba player in the East Texas Symphony. He was a naval gun spotter in Korea for about 6 to 7 months. He returned to the U.S. and was stationed at Norfolk, Virginia.
Upon leaving the Marine Corps as a captain in 1955, he entered the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent in Washington D.C. and Chicago, Illinois.
Byford and his family returned to Andrews in 1957 for him to go into the abstract business with his father. After returning to Andrews he served on the City Council as Mayor, he served as a board member of the Andrews Independent School District. He was a member of the Andrews Industrial Foundation and was on the Board of Directors of the West Texas Chamber of Commerce.
Byford met his wife Jo Ann while they were both playing in the Midland-Odessa Symphony Orchestra, where he played tuba and she played French horn. Jo Ann attended West Texas State University on a music scholarship given by the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra, in which she played French horn. Byford and Jo Ann were married on September 27, 1969. Byford has reflected that Jo Ann is comparable to the wife described in Proverbs 31:10-31 and has said that she has all of the good characteristics of that wife.
Byford has lost his long battle with cancer – having had treatment for the past 18 years.

EMORY PENNY
February 20, 2005

Emory E. Penny, 83, of Andrews passed away Sunday February 20, 2005, at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rick Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews West Cemetery.
Mr. Penny was born February 12, 1922 in Dekalb, Texas. He married Ann Murrel Page January 23, 1943 in Texarkana, Texas. They moved to Andrews in 1957. He was a Mechanic and loved to work on engines and cars. He loved to go camping with his family. His favorite places were in the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado. He was a very loving Father and Grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
He is Survived by: Wife Ann Penny of Andrews; Two Sons-Emory Donald Penny of Arlington and Glenn Penny of Andrews; Two Brothers- Dewey Penny of Clarksville, and Eddy Penny of West Point, ; One Sister- Evelyn Arterbury of Texarkana, Arkansas; 4-Grandchildren and 12-Great-Grandchildren.

MARVIN JOE ANDERSON
October 14, 2005

Funeral services for Marvin Joe Anderson, 64, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 17, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Pastor Bobby Bell of Tree of Life Foursquare Church in Odessa, and Pastor James Anderson, Brother, of Venus, Texas officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Hestand, Delbert McNiel, Joe Glen Hestand, James Buchanan, Kenny Orson, Daniel Anderson, and Cody Anderson.
He passed away on Friday, October 14, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
He was born November 17, 1940 in Old Glory, Texas to Dan Anderson and Agnes Lorene Reed. He married Margaret Jean Aubrey on June 7, 1959 in Paducah. He farmed in Rule, Texas until they moved to Andrews in 1978. He worked as a roughneck for MGF Drilling and Cactus Drilling in Odessa. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife: Margaret Anderson of Andrews; mother: Agnes Anderson of Rotan; 3 sons: Alan Anderson of Rule, Terry Anderson of Andrews, and Stewart Anderson of Rockport; 1 daughter: Tammy Sumruld of Odessa; 4 brothers: Danny Anderson of Rule, James Anderson of Venus, Garland Anderson of Bryson, and Calvin Anderson of Lexington, Kentucky; 2 sisters: Anita Yarbrough of Cordova, Alaska and Melba McNiel of Snyder; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

NEVA BENNETT

September 6, 2005

Funeral services for “Granny” Bennett, 91, of Andrews will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 8, 2005 at the Andrews Church of Christ with Mark Wilson, Rodney Noble, Moody Conner, and Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery.

Neva passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at her residence in Andrews.

She was born Neva Christine Grimes in Checotah, Oklahoma on December 5, 1913 to Flora and James Grimes. Neva graduated from high school and commercial college in Ardmore Oklahoma. She was married to Roy Davis Bennett, Sr. on March 15, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1949 they bought a 160-acre farm on Ruskin Road and settled down to raise the family. They opened a feed store on the spot now occupied by the county library. They also sold appliances to supplement the feed business. Soon the furniture and appliance business grew enough that it took over as the family business and Bennett’s Furniture was born. Roy became involved in politics and was elected County Judge in 1962. Roy and Neva had three children, Roy D, Phyllis, and Ellen. Neva was a charter member of the Pink Ladies Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Andrews Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by husband, Roy, Sr., son, Roy D. Jr., and one granddaughter, Virginia Christine Hoffman.

Neva is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Ann Bain of Shreveport Louisiana, and Ellen Hoffman of Andrews; Five grandchildren, Bryan Hoffman, Angela Porter, Billy Joe Bain, Deborah McBride, and Bradley Bain; Eight great grandchildren, Lindsay and Chelsea Hoffman, Averee and Tyler Porter, Melissa Carlisle, Dustin and Mariah McBride, and Amanda Bain.

JENIFER LYN BICE

Funeral services for Jenifer Lyn Bice, 33, of Colorado Springs, Colorado will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Mid Cities Community Church, 8700 West Highway 191, in Midland with Pastor Russ Austin of Southpoint Community Church in Jacksonville, Florida and Pastor Kevin York of Mid Cities Community Church in Midland officiating.

Graveside services will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2005 in the Andrews Old Cemetery in Andrews.

Family will receive friends at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

She died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado.

She was born December 20, 1971 in Andrews, Texas to Walter Dan Galloway and Cheryl Ann Mays Galloway. She graduated from Andrews High School in 1990, where she received All-State honors in golf. She attended Midland College, and also had worked at the Midland Police Department. She married Frank Bice on October 1, 1993 in Midland. They moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado from Midland. She was a past member of Mid Cities Community Church, and was currently attending Springs Harvest Fellowship in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She had assisted her husband in building a National Award Winning Agency with AIG. She and Frank were leaders together and an inspiration to many. Ever an encourager to friends, family, and associates, brightening many lives with her ever present smile and gracious words, she let her love for Christ shine through everything with which she was involved (Matt. 5.16). Her devotion and specialty was in being the best Mom and Wife in this world.

She was preceded in death by Frank's son, Gym Bice, in 1996.

She is survived by her husband: Frank Bice of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter: Chloe Grace Bice of Colorado Springs, Colorado; mother: Cheryl Galloway of Andrews; father: Dan Galloway of Andrews; brother: Jeremy Galloway of Andrews; grandparents: John B. and Youldean Mays of Franklin, Tennessee; mother in law: Inez Bice of New Boston; Frank's daughter: Susan Jones and husband Joe of Round Rock; and Frank's 2 grandchildren: Caroline and Ivy Jones of Round Rock.

J.G. Burnett, 80, of Andrews passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at his daughters home in Andrews.
A Family visitation will be Friday from 6-8 PM at McNett Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at First Baptist Church in Andrews. David Welch of Houston and Bryan Johnson of Home Hospice in Andrews will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Mr. Burnett was born July 23, 1925 in Limestone, Oklahoma. He married Eva Lee Welch March 29, 1944 in Carlsbad, NM. They moved to Andrews in 1963 from Carlsbad.
He was a Cotton Farmer. He also worked for International Minerals Corporation, J7J Steel, Andrews County, and Tucker Construction. .
He liked to hunt and fish and go camping. He loved his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He loved farming, and his John Deere tractor.
He was preceded in death by; His parents-Jethro and Zora Burnett; 3 Brothers- Velon, Vernon and Jack Burnett; and Granddaughter- Keni Lee Thompson.
J.G. is survived by: Wife Eva Lee Burnett of Andrews; Three Daughters- Sue Penny and Husband Glenn of Andrews; Charlotte Ramsay and Husband Jack of Andrews; Belinda Hall and husband Mark of San Marcus; Two Sons- Weston Burnett and wife Debbie of Andrews; Velon Burnett and wife Martha of Cypress, Texas; Four Brothers- N.C. Esta Crow, 84, of Andrews passed away Friday, December 16, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Family memorial graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2005 at Wizard Wells Cemetery near Jacksboro and Decatur, Texas.
Mrs. Crow was born October 4, 1921 in Paducah, Texas. She married E.C. Corky Crow May 28, 1940 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She moved to Andrews from Jacksboro after her husband died in 1984. She loved to play bingo, scrabble, and work cross word puzzels. She loved spending time with her family and was a homemaker.
She is survived by: Daughters- Jolinda McDonald of Andrews; Carol Seale of Andrews; and One Son- Lester C. Crow of Andrews; and Nine Grandchildren and Many Great-Grandchildren and Great- Great-Grandchildren.

March 12, 2005

Funeral services for Jo Davis, 59, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Andrews with Dr. Jeff Donnell, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery in Andrews.
She died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland.
She was born on March 6, 1946 in Longview, Texas. She graduated from Permian High School In Odessa in 1964. She worked as a bookkeeper for Cummins CPA and for Harper & Cavett CPA for 19 years. She was a bookkeeper with the Andrews County News for the last 2 years. Jo was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Mother, Eugenia Hooper Owens, Abilene, Texas, daughters, Annette Renfro, Andrews, Texas, Aimee Davis, Atlanta, Georgia, brother, David Hooper, Austin, Texas, sisters, Estelle Munsell, Andrews, Texas, Janett Lisenbe, Odessa, Texas, Elizabeth Caarter, Abilene, Texas, Mary Linda Wood, Austin, Texas and three grandchildren, Hanna Nicole, Hattie Lee and Hagan Reed, all of Andrews.

MARION 'SONNY' DEASON
March 23rd, 2005

Marion "Sonny" Deason, 72, of Andrews passed away in the VA Medical Center in Big Spring, Texas Wednesday, March 23, 2005.
Graveside services will be Monday, March 28, 2005 in the Andrews Old Cemetery. Richard Cooper will officiate.
Mr. Deason was born June 15, 1932 in Austin, Texas. He moved to Andrews in 1963. He married Verna Cargill on October 17, 1980 in Lovington, NM. She preceded him in death, December 23, 2003. He was a Driller for many years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Moose Lodge and the VFW. He liked to Fish and Hunt and he loved to play Dominos.
Survivors include: Daughter-Debbie Brooks of Kermit; Two Step-Sons- Russell Holems of Burnet and Rodney Holms of Andrews; Step-Daughter- Patricia Reece of Ingram, Texas. Five Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

RACHEL MARIE SANDERS

Rachel Marie Sanders, 79, of Andrews passed away Sunday October 16, 2005 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Moody Connor will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Rachel was born June 5, 1926 in Quanah, Texas to W.O and Marie Worley. She married Dr. B.D. "Don" Sanders January 19, 1944 in Seminole, Texas.

They moved to Andrews in 1954, and opened an Optometrist Office where Rachel helped Don begin his Practice.

She enjoyed Playing Bridge and golf and liked to work cross word puzzles. She loved being with her family. She was a member of Andrews Church of Christ.

Her parents, her husband Don in 2001; and four brothers preceded her in death.

Rachel is survived by: Her Daughter-Suzanne Blackburn and husband Les of Andrews; Her Son- Kip Sanders and his wife Loy of Andrews; Granddaughters- Christy Bright and husband Jeff of San Angelo; Jennifer Sanders of Midland; Grandson-Trey Humphrey and wife April of Andrews; Great-Grandsons - Michael and Kyler Bright and Ryan Humphrey; Great-Granddaughter - Shayden Sanders.

LOIS LUERINE HARRIS

Graveside services for Lois Luerine Harris, 81, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 10, 2005 in the Andrews West Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Johnson, Home Hospice Chaplain in Andrews, officiating.
Family will receive friends at McNett Funeral Home on Sunday, October 9, 2005 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
She passed away on Friday, October 7, 2005 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
She was born May 8, 1924 in Thurber, Texas to Charles Franklin Mosley and Lura Cantwell Mosley. She married Paul Keith "Cotton" Harris on August 20, 1948 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She moved to Seminole in 1951 and then to Andrews in 1972. She loved to shop, help with the elections in Andrews, and was involved in the WWII 381st Bombers Unit Reunion. She was a homemaker and a member of the Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years on May 8, 1992; her parents; 1 sister; and 1 brother.
She is survived by her 1 son: Randall K. Harris and wife, Sue, of Andrews; 1 sister: Carol Lynn Watkins of Jal, New Mexico; 1 brother: Charles Ray Mosley of Kermit; and 2 grandchildren: Shawn Micheal Harris of Odessa and Anthony Dobs Harris, GSM3, US Navy, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

DONNA LOVING
February 12th, 2005

Donna Loving, 55, of Andrews passed away Saturday February 12, 2005, at her home in Andrews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 14, 2005 at Andrews Church of Christ. Mark Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery.
Donna was born November 23, 1949 in Andrews, She married David Loving December 7, 1978 in Abilene, Texas.
She drove a School Bus for Andrews Independent School District for 17 years. She was a member of Andrews Church of Christ. She loved to play video games and sew. She also loved to decorate and remodel her home. She enjoyed grooming dogs. She loved her Bus kids and her birds.

Funeral services for Cordie G. Keith, 90, of Midland will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with John Snider of Greenwood Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery.

She passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at her residence in Midland.

She was born February 7, 1915 in Granbury, Texas to Allison W. McPherson and Dora June Vesta McPherson. She had worked as a secretary for the State of California in Long Beach for 30 years. She moved to Andrews in 1970, and worked for the Andrews Senior Center for 11 years. She married William Benjamin Keith on September 16, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She moved to Odessa in 1999. She was a member of the Andrews Eastern Star and the Andrews Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers; 1 sister; and 1 stepson.

She is survived by; Husband: Ben Keith of Midland, her 2 stepdaughters: Ora Pearl Scott of Andrews and Jeannie Rogers of Wichita Falls; 2 stepsons: Alton Keith of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Roland Keith of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 2 brothers: Fred McPherson of Breckenridge, Texas and Tommy McPherson of State of Washington, 7 step grandchildren; and 15 step great grandchildren.

BOBBIE SHARP
December 12, 2005

Bobbie Sharp, 73, of Andrews passed away Monday, December 12, 2005 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Bill Melton Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Andrews will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Bobbie was born April 12, 1932 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She married J.P. Sharp August 7, 1972 in Andrews. She worked as a Draftsman when she was younger and she was a Homemaker the last many years.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews. She Enjoyed dressing a a clown for events at the Sky High Children's Ranch, and she loved being Mrs. Santa Clause for Christmas parties.
She was an active member of the Eagles Lodge and the Moose Lodge. She loved going fishing and traveling, and she loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by: Husband- I.UP. Sharp of Andrews; One Son - Billy Bob Kennedy of La Port, Texas; Three Daughters - Joyce Hammond of Andrews; Jan Nelson of Midland; Naomi Orman of Midland; Three Step-Daughters - Claudia Duncan of Dallas; Teresa Froelich of Andrews and Yalanda Joyce Sims of Lake Ellsinore, California; Twenty Two Grandchildren and a Host of Great-Grandchildren.

KENNETH HEFLIN
December 11, 2005

Kenneth Heflin, 67, of Chaparral, New Mexico passed away Sunday December 11, 2005 at his daughters home in Andrews.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at his Parents Home in Abilene. Burial will follow in the Heflin Family Cemetery in May, Texas .
Kenneth was born October 2, 1938 at De Leon, Texas. He was a Rail Road Diesel Electrician, he retired with Southern Pacific Rail Road.
He loved to fish and hunt and go camping. He also really enjoyed watching TV and among his favorite shows was Walker - Texas Ranger.
He is Survived by: Sons - Kelly Heflin of Tucson, Arizona; Kenny Heflin of Roby, Texas; Daril Anthes of Virginia and Darin Anthes of El Paso, Texas; Daughters - Shari Smith of Andrews and Shannon Heflin of Brownwood, Texas; His Parents - Paul and Ola Heflin of Abilene; One Brother - Ron Heflin of Azle, Texas and one Sister - Paula Sullivan of Abilene, Texas; and 8 Grandchildren.

JOHN PARKER
December 9, 2005

Services for John F. Parker, 90 of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2005, in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Ted Short, pastor of Grace Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
John died Friday, December 9, 2005 in Andrews. He was born on May 15, 1915 at Ballinger, Texas. He married Charlene Chesney on May 23, 1942 in Ballinger. They came to Andrews in 1950. John worked for Pan American Oil Company as a roustabout and later worked to Frost Bread Company retiring in 1970. John was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include; wife Charlene, Andrews, daughter, June Holcombe and husband Weldon,Payne Springs, Texas, three grandchildren, Lisa Rhoades, LeAnne Wilson and Diana Nichols and six great-grandchildren.

FORREST W. NOBLE
December 7, 2005

Funeral services for Forrest W. Noble, 88, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 9, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Rodney Noble of Andrews and Elder Gail Faries of Lubbock officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery.

Forrest passed on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
He was born January 6, 1917 in Eastland County, Texas to Jess William Noble and Jennie Stella Lee Noble. He was raised in Eastland County and graduated from Cisco High School. He married Margaret Oleta Turknett on April 16, 1937 in Cisco. He served in the Civil Service during WWII and moved to Andrews in 1946 from Abilene. Forrest and Oleta owned and operated Noble Oldsmobile in Andrews from 1946-1990, and he believed in driving a fine automobile. They received the highest customer satisifaction index award of 100% from Oldsmobile and was awarded the Oldsmobile Elite Dealer for the entire nation. Forrest was a charter member for the Andrews Downtown Lion's Club and Andrews Rotary Club; and served as Andrews City Councilman from 1948-1952. He loved his pecan orchard and was a member and deacon of the Andrews Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Oleta Noble of Andrews; 2 sons: Rodney Noble and wife Jane of Andrews, Bradley Noble of Houston; 1 daughter: Kathleen Brewer and husband Richard of Midland; 1 sister: Mary Louise Key of Longview; 6 grandchildren: Peter Brewer and wife Nanette of Memphis, TN, Lori West and husband David of San Antonio, Kari Atchley and husband Randi of Midland, Marla Brewer of Dallas, Carmen Castleberry and husband Bryan of Bertram, April Aglipay and husband Greg of Allen; and 11 great grandchildren: Matthew Brewer, Jody and Tyler West, Avery and Kirsten Atchley, Amy Beth, Taylor and Connor Castleberry, Sarah Ashlee, Zoe Mae, and Eli Aglipay.

DR. JOHN R. KANTOR
December 7, 2005

Funeral services for John Kantor, M.D. , 81, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. Rev. James Bridges of St. Stevens Catholic Church in Midland will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Monday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. with Rev. Bernard Gully of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews will conduct the Rosary.
He died December 7, 2005 from complications of diabetes in an Albuquerque, New Mexico hospital.

Dr. Kantor was born November 11, 1924 in Sergeant, Nebraska to Dominik B. and Ruth Kantor. The family relocated to Fairbury, Nebraska when he was 12 years old and he graduated from Fairbury High School in 1943.
He was drafted into the United States Army and served as a medic in the 353rd infantry regiment, 89th Infantry Division ("Rolling W") from June, 1943 until his discharge in April, 1946. Upon his return he attended Fairbury Junior College and the University of Nebraska, graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical School in 1953. He married Harriet Jane Kammerlohr December 20, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska. She preceded him in death in July, 1999. Dr. Kantor practiced family medicine, including general surgery and obstetrics, which was his favorite part of being a doctor. He delivered over 3,000 babies, about 2,000 in Andrews. His first delivery was a set of twins born in 1953 at Providence Hospital in Waco. He was licensed in Nebraska, Texas, Colorado and South Dakota. Following the death of his wife, he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico with his son where he enjoyed traveling and photography. He was a member of Saint Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church and a lector and member of the Knights of Columbus, Brother Mathias Council 10560.
Survivors include three sons, John Kantor, Jr. of Canyon, Joe Kantor of Albuquerque and Ted Kantor of Mexia; one daughter, Lori of Arlington; six grandchildren;one brother, Joseph R. Kantor of Corvalis, Oregon; one sister, Doris B. Kantor, of Chicago, Illinois; five nephews; two nieces; and many friends.

Mary passed away on Saturday, December 3 , 2005 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
She was born April 30, 1943 in Hockley County, Texas to Johnnie Newton Spears and Winona Parthine Nickell. She was married to Danny O'Neil. She had lived in Winters, Pecos, Odessa, Big Lake, and moved to McCamey in 2004. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 1 brother.
She is survived by her husband: Danny O'Neil of McCamey; 1 daughter: Robyn Abney and husband Glen of Andrews; 1 son: Craig Armstrong; 1 sister: Johnnie Parker of Muleshoe; 2 brothers: Junior Wright of Amarillo and Curtis Spears of Lubbock; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

 He passed away Saturday, August 27, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.

He was born June 2, 2005 in Andrews to Beau Truman Casey Orson, Sr. and Amanda Lea Wilson Orson.

 He is survived by his parents: Beau and Amanda Orson of Andrews; 1 brother: Beau Orson, Jr. of Andrews; Grandparents: Jim and Bobby Cardinal of Andrews, Bill and Mary Orson of Andrews, Bertha Orson of New Iberia, Louisiana, and Billy Hobbs, Jr. of Odessa; and Great Grandmother: Wanda Penney of Andrews.

Funeral services for Rev. Mitchell H. Culp, 80, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the Andrews Church of God with Pastor Timothy G. Chenault of Sherman, Pastor Jason Connor of Andrews, and Pastor Ken Redmond of Midland officiating. Military graveside services will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery.
He died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Hospice Midland Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 31, 1924 in Clifton, Texas to Obadiah Culp and Alice Weldon Culp. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Chloe Southern on June 2, 1942 in Mineral Wells. He had pastored churches in Progress, Texas and Grandview and Mt. Vernon, Washington. He had pastored the Andrews Church of God for 23 years. He also worked as a painter for Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews for 30 years. He was a member of the Andrews Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: O.D. and Bob Culp; and a granddaughter: Karina Culp.
He is survived by his wife: Chloe Culp of Andrews; 2 sons: Charles Culp of Lewisville and Don Culp of East Wenatchee, Washington; 2 daughters: Bonnie Edenfield of Bend, Oregon and Sherrie Taylor of Lewisville; 1 sister: Opal Webster of Mineral Wells; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Dorothy "Dot" Pinnell, 77 of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 4, 2005 in Means Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Doyle, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery.
She died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
She was born on December 13, 1927 in El Dorado, Arkansas. She graduated from Andrews High School in 1944 and attended Texas Women's University. She married Billy Hart "Bill" Pinnell on May 10, 1946 in Andrews. She had been very involved in the Andrews County 4-H, and she was a licensed pilot. Her husband preceded her in death on March 22, 1999. She was a homemaker and a member of Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews.
She is survived by her daughter: Judy Crabtree and husband Larry of Vernon; 2 sons: Brent Pinnell of Andrews and Paul Pinnell of Dallas; 2 sisters: Kay Condren of Miami, Oklahoma and Cindy Duncan of Fairfield; and 2 grandchildren: Ross Crabtree of Dallas and Lori Crabtree of Carrollton.

CONNIE MAE UNDERWOOD

Funeral services for Connie Mae Underwood, 89, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 16, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Andrews with Dr. Jeff Donnell, Pastor, and Rev. Ivy Shelton, Pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church in Odessa, officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery.

She passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.

She was born October 16, 1915 in Mitchell County, Texas to Albert Lowrey McCarley and Lila Sanders McCarley. She has lived in Andrews since 1924 and graduated from Andrews High School in 1934. She married William James "Jim" Underwood, Jr. on October 18, 1936 in Westbrook, Texas. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church and was the first secretary for the church. Most of all she was a great housewife, mother, and MeMaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister: Grace Dowlen; and 1 brother: A.W. McCarley.

She is survived by her husband: Jim Underwood of Andrews; 1 son: James Underwood of Andrews; 3 sisters: Ruby Walker of Lubbock, Ila Fay Dement of Pasadena, Texas, and Louis Irwin of Odessa; and 1 grandchild: Creecy Hare of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a loved family member: Dee Becker of Midland (formerly of Andrews).

Memorials may be sent to Andrews Senior Center, 310 West Broadway, Andrews, Texas 79714 and the Alzheimer's Association.

Katie "Kay" Gabriel, 88, of Andrews passed away Monday October 31, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 4, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jeff Donnell, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Andrews will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews West Cemetery.

Kay was born August 2, 1917 in Converse, Louisiana to George Robert and Alpha Sebren. She moved to Andrews in 1947 from Louisiana. She married "Dave" Monroe Gabriel on November 18, 1961 in Andrews. She was a homemaker and longtime member of First Baptist Church in Andrews. She was also a member of the Philresters Club. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; her parents; three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by: Two Daughters- Bonnie Hitch and husband Donnell of Andrews; Shirley Parker and Husband Doyle of Ruidoso, NM; One Step Son- Monty Gabriel of Indiana; One Sister- Jewell Higginbotham of Port Allen, Louisiana; Five Grandchildren, Thirteen Great-Grandchildren and Four Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services for Gene P. Hamilton, 63 of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2005 at the First Baptist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Jeff Donnell, Pastor of First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery.
Gene died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at his residence. He was born on December 10, 1941 in Gorman, Texas. Gene was a Baptist, a past member of the Andrews County Sheriff's Posse, West Texas Trail Riders and had been active with the United Softball Association. Gene was the superintendent for John R. Parrish Company where he had worked for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Alvin and Addie Hamilton, two sons: Randy on April 27, 1993, Heath on November 21, 2003, a brother J.T Hamilton and sister: Alice Fern Hamilton.
Survivors include: son, Roland Hamilton and wife Lynn of Houston, daughter Leah McCarver and husband Ronnie of Andrews, brother, Alvin Hamilton and wife Jackie of De Leon, sisters, Patsy Johnson and husband David of Dallas and Cherry Young of Ft. Worth, six grandchildren, Cheyenne, Emily, Reed, Brazos, Allie and Bailey.
