MARY DOLLIE JENNINGS
April 27, 2007
Services for Mary "Dollie" Vick Jennings, 73 of
Andrews, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the First United Pentecostal
Church. Officiating will be Rev. James Linton, pastor. Burial will follow in the
Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Dollie passed away Friday afternoon, April 27, 2007 in Odessa. She was born on
January 30, 1934 in Franklin County, Texas. She worked as a nurse's aid in
nursing homes before retirement. Survivors include, daughters; Maquetia Allene
Wilson, Hendersonville, Tennessee, Debra Kay Linton, Andrews, sons; Buddy
Youngblood, Lovington, New Mexico and Jerry Neal Youngblood, Granbury, Texas,
brother; Charles Vick, Pampa, Texas, twelve grandchildren and 8 great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Leo, Cleo, Clyde and
Earl Vick, six sisters; Doris Elders, Hazel Pike, Illena Albright, Syble Dossey,
Tincie Mae Vick and Bea Justice; and two Granddaughters, Cathrine Allene Tison
and Kayla Grissom.
GEORGIA MAE JENNINGS
December 11, 2006
Georgia Mae Jennings, 89, of Andrews passed away Monday, December 11, 2006 at
her daughter's home in Raton, New Mexico.
Family will recive friends Thursday, December 14, 2006 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at
McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 15, 2006 at McNett Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Don Swindell from Star Hospice will officiate. Burial will
be in Andrews Old Cemetery.
Georgia was born October 27, 1917 in Comanche, Oklahoma. She married Homer Louis
Jennings on August 30, 1935 in Roswell, New Mexico. They moved to Andrews in
1963. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Homer, in 1977.
She is survived by: Three Daughters - Evelyn and husband Kirby Perry of Apopka,
Florida; Pat and Husband Bill Baldwin of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; Janie and
husband Kenneth Spurlock of Raton, NM; One Son - Joe Jennings and wife Elizabeth
of Big Spring, Texas; Foster Son - Greorge Anderson of Andrews, Texas. 16
Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
LEROY W. JENNINGS
January 4, 2006
Profound love of God, country and family exemplifies the life of longtime
Andrews resident LeRoy W. Jennings. He passed away peacefully at his home on
Wednesday, January 4, 2006 after a courageous 2 year battle with esophageal
cancer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the First Baptist
Church in Andrews with Dr. Jeff Donnell and Doug Kello officiating. Burial will
follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery.
LeRoy was born on September 18, 1923, the only child of G.C. and Nettie Jennings
in Coweta, Oklahoma. In 1942 at the age of 18, LeRoy enlisted in the US Air
Force and became a glider pilot. He was part of the Battle of Normandy, as well
as the invasion of southern France and Europe. He married Mary Beth Langford on
February 3, 1946 in Nocona, Texas. LeRoy worked in Gainesville, Texas as an
electrician before moving to Andrews in 1949. He then worked 36 years for
Sinclair and ARCO, retiring in 1985. After retirement he enjoyed golf, fishing,
dominoes, loved the outdoors, and spent many happy hours gardening. LeRoy was a
long time member of the First Baptist Church, where he served many years on the
funeral meals committee. He and his wife, Mary delivered Meals-On-Wheels for
over 13 years. He was also a member of the Andrews Country Club, Andrews Masonic
Lodge #1024, and the Shriners. LeRoy devoted his life to loving and caring for
his family and was a devoted husband and father. Each day was a gift to cherish
and LeRoy enjoyed it to the fullest.
LeRoy is survived by the love of his life, Mary Beth Jennings of Andrews. They
would have celebrated their 60th anniversary on February 3, 2006. He is also
survived by two daughters, who were the light of his life: Cheri McLennan and
husband, Mike of Midland and Jan Anderson and husband, Hal of Belton; 4
grandchildren: Scott, Kristi, Kyle, and Kendall; 2 great grandchildren: Rebecca
and Jasmine.
Memorials may be sent to the Andrews Senior Center or Home Hospice.
JOSE JIMENEZ
March 9, 2007
Services for Jose Jimenez, 60 of Andrews, will be 7:00 PM Sunday, March 11,
2007 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow on Monday.
Jose passed away Friday, March 9, 2007 at his residence in Andrews. He was born
on May 30, 1946 in Chihuaha, Mexico. He married Teresa Jaquez on November 22,
1967 in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a truck driver for several years before
retirement.
Survivors include, wife: Teresa of Andrews, mother: Lucia Villalobos of Hobbs,
New Mexico, sons: Jose A. Jimenez and Cesar V. Jimenez both of Andrews, Luis G.
Jimenez of Odessa and Mario Jimenez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, daughter:
Blanca Jimenez of Chihuahua, Mexico, sister: Graciela Lopez and Maria Scott of
Hobbs, New Mexico, brother: Mario Gonzales of Phoenix, Arizona,nine
grandchildren.
MAUREEN JONES
March 21, 2006
Funeral services for Maureen Jones, 89, of Alpine will be 10:00 Wednesday, March
22, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Alpine with Pastor Ellen Ely
and Minister Larry Gaumond officiating. Graveside services will be 4:00 PM
Wednesday, March 22, 2006 in the Andrews West Cemetery with Rev. Larry Brewer
officiating.
Pallbearers will be Scott Jones, Lance Jones. Eian Savas, Cecil Jackson, John
Key, and Joe Richardson. Honorary pallbearers will be Errol Joneson, Jack
Kingsberry, Jim Pond, Nolan Mathis, Jay Louery, Gerry Tucker, Dr. Brian Gardon,
Kiki Aguirre, Tony Nunez, Doug Conner, Dennis Earl Bryant, and Brijuillo Holguin.
She passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006 in Alpine.
She was born April 19, 1916 in Washita, Oklahoma to Sidney Hines and Clara
Harrelson Hines. She married Jesse J. Jones on December 14, 1936 in Washita,
Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter: Jessica
Jones.
She is survived by 2 sons: Jerry Jones and wife Mary Evelyn of Andrews; Jim
Jones and wife Jan of Rio Vista; 2 daughters: Ladema Jones and husband Randall
of Burnet, and Jean LaBeff and husband Bryan of Alpine; 6 grandchildren; and 7
great grandchildren.
SHARON MENEFEE JONES

Sharon Menefee Jones, 43, of Lubbock passed away Tuesday February 6, 2007 at
University Medical Center in Lubbock.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday February 12, 2007 at Clalvary Baptist
Church in Andrews. Rev. Julius Brooks of Midland and Rev. Bennie Anderson of
Canyon will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the
direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Sharon was born September 18, 1963 in Andrews, Texas. She graduated from Andrews
High School in 1982 and attended Odessa College and Texas Tech University.
She married Gary Jones in 1994 in Lubbock. She was a Bus driver for Durham
Transportation and she lived in Lubbock for the past 25 years.
She loved football and Basketball, The Texas Tech Red Raiders and th Dallas
Cowboys. She loved her children and was a good mother.
She was preceded in death by her Father - Robert Earl Menefee in 2003, and a
daughter - Candice Nicole in 1985.
She is survived by - her ex husband - Gary Jones of Lubbock; Three Daughters -
Brittney Jones; Kandra Jones and Azah Jones all of Lubbock; Her Mother - Annie
Menefee of Andrews; one Brother - Robert Menefee, Jr. of Odessa; four Sisters -
Pearlie Mae Thomas of Lubbock; Doretta Menefee of San Diego, CA; Brenda Menefee
of Andrews; and Melissa Green of Andrews. and one Granddaughter - Sylbria
Brinkley of Lubbock.
