BILLIE JEAN WILLIAMS

Billie Jean Williams, 70, of Andrews passed away
Monday, May 21, 2007 at her home in Andrews.
Billie Jean was born September 5, 1936 in Knox City, Texas. She moved to Andrews
in 1950 from Knox City. She married Bennie Lee Williams September 10, 1958 in
Odessa. They Lived in Andrews and moved back and forth from Atlanta Georgia
several times over the years. Moving back to Andrews after she retired in 1998.
She was a Nurse and an Administrator for several Hospitals and Nursing homes in
West Texas and the Atlanta areas.
She enjoyed working cross word puzzels, computer games, and fishing. She was
also an Atlanta Braves fan and she loved to make Afgans for friends and family.
Her favorite pass time was being with her family.
She was preceded in death by, her husband Bennie Williams in 2004, and a
brother, Glen Johnson.
She is survived by; four sons, Crawford (B.J.) Williams and his wife Louise of
Midland; Glen Williams and wife Debra of Dallas; Billy Jo (B.J.) Dixon and wife
Dianne of Andrews; and Archie L. Williams and his wife Molly of Stockbridge, GA;
two daughters, Connie and husband Tyron Baugh of Mabelton, GA; and Felita
Williams-Morgan and husband Lorenzo of Riverdale, GA; one brother, Charlie
Robert Johnson of Midland, TX, Eleven Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

TOMMY L. WHITE

Thomas L."Tommy" White, 75 of Andrews passed away
Monday, May 21, 2007 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews. There will
not be formal services, cremation will be under the direction of McNett Funeral
Home.
Tommy was born on April 15, 1932 in Pampa, Texas. He served in the Navy in the
Korea conflict. He worked as a lineman in the production department for a
newspaper in California before retirement. He moved to Andrews in 1984. Tommy
married Margaret Bremerman in May 1984, Margret preceded Tommy in death on July
26, 1988.
Survivors include, son; Alan Tull, Andrews, cousins; C.H. Dunaway, Albuquerque,
NM, Brice Dunaway, Alanta, GA and Merdella Roberts, Ft. Worth, TX.

JEANETTE WILLIAMS
May 16, 2007
Services for Jeanette May Williams, 75 of Andrews
will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 18, 2007 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating
will be Jackie Barnett of Brownwood, Texas. Burial will follow in the Andrews
Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Jeanette passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in Odessa. She was born on June 2,
1931 in Great Bend, Kansas to George and Marie Giskie Foos. Jeanette married
Lester Lowell Williams on February 26, 1950 in Great Bend, Kansas. She was a
Nazarene and a homemaker.
Survivors include; husband Lowell of Andrews, sons; Steve and wife Lisa
Williams, Brad and wife Pam Williams all of Andrews, a daughter; Cathy and
husband Jamie Silva of Andrews, two brothers; Leroy and wife Dorothy Foos and
Howard and wife Carol Foos all of Great Bend, Kansas, sister; Janice Kimberlin,
Kansas City, Kansas. Grandchildren, Casey and Jeff Saldivar, Garrett Williams,
Megan Williams and Lindsey and Matt Hammond, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Great
grandchildren Zachary and Cameron Saldivar, Andrews and Emily Hammond, Virginia
Beach, Virginia and a number of nieces and nephews.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Gorge Foos and Marie Giskie Foos,
brother; George Jr. Foos, sister; Carol Jean Meyers.

WILL EDD WALDROP
May 8, 2006
Funeral services for Will Edd Waldrop, 60, of Hennessey, Oklahoma will be at
10:00 AM Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at the Hennessey Church of Christ in Hennessey,
Oklahoma with Billy Norton and Lanny Jobe officiating. Services will be under
the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home in Hennessey, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be also held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 12, 2006 at the
Andrews Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under
the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews, Texas.
Will Edd passed away on Monday, May 8, 2006 after a three-month battle with
Leukemia.
Will Edd was born in Sundown, Texas on March 28, 1946 to J.T. and Leona Estelle
Campbell Waldrop. His childhood was spent in Andrews, Texas. He worked for
Stoehr Wire Rope of Odessa, Texas since 1977 and relocated in 1981 to Hennessey,
Oklahoma. He is a member of the Hennessey Church of Christ and the Hennessey
Lion's Club. Will was Captain and long time member of the Hennessey Fire
Department and had been on the Town Council since 1992. The loving daddy and
granddaddy was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Billy Edd.
He is survived by his wife: Janice Waldrop of Hennessey, Oklahoma; 4 daughters:
Lauri Petrolia and her husband Fred of Hennessey, Lisa Adkins and her husband
Norvel of Collierville, Tennessee, Donna Waldrop of Hennessey, and Kayla Waldrop
of Enid, Oklahoma ; 2 sons: Kenny Waldrop of Oklahoma City and Justin Waldrop of
Hennessey; 1 brother: Jay Waldrop of Andrews; 2 sisters: Jane Vining and Myrle
Price of Andrews; and he is also survived by the lights of his life, his 5
grandchildren: Freddy, Chet, Lexi, Lauren, and Kiersten.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: The Hennessey
Rose Rock Bank Waldrop Fund, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or the Hennessey
Church of Christ.
NAOMI WARREN
August 12, 2006
Services for Naomi Warren, 88 of Lubbock, formerly of Andrews, will 2:00 PM
Friday, August 18, 2006 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be
ministers Jack Cummings and Joe Marshall, both with Green Lawlawn Church of
Christ in Lubbock. Burial will follow in the Gaines County Memorial Cemetery in
Seminole under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Naomi passed away Saturday, August 12, 2006 in Lubbock.
She was born on November 24, 1917 in Childress, Texas. She attended high school
in Ralls, Texas. She played softball and was second place winner as guard in her
last years basketball tournament in 1926. Naomi married William L. Warren on May
16, 1936 in Crosbyton, Texas. They moved and lived in several states before
settling in Texas "again". They lived in Lubbock where she was a bookkeeper and
manager of a restaurant. They moved to Andrews in 1976. She served as a
volunteer with the Permian General Hospital Auxiliary for five years, and was a
kitchen supervisor for the Andrews Senior Citizens Center for four years. Mr.
Warren preceded Naomi in death on May 16, 1989. Naomi moved to Alaska after his
death and back to Lubbock in 2001.
Survivors include; daughters, Melba and husband Carl Ray, Brady, TX; Betha
Chesser, Anchor Point, Alaska, Joyce Gill, Lubbock, Glenda and husband Milton
Fariss, Brownfield, Patricia and husband Norman McNeil, Yakima, Washington,
sisters Maudie Thornton and Redah Price, both of Andrews, 18 grandchildren and
40 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren.
Naomi was preceded in death by two grandchildren; Zane Scott, Rex Allen Fariss,
1 great grand son, Leif Alan Herrick, five brothers and two sisters, also two
son-in- laws, Nathan Chesser and Logan Gill.

JOHNNY WAYNE WENDEBORN
March 4, 2007
Services for Johnny Wayne Wendeborn, 41 of Andrews will be 1:00 PM Thursday,
March 8, 2007 at Calvary Baptist Church. Officiating will be Joe Harper.
Burial will be at 4:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Park Cemetery in Big Spring,
Texas. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
Johnny passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007 at his residence after a lengthy
illness. He was born on January 12, 1966 in Big Spring, Texas. Johnny graduated
from Kermit High School in 1984. He was a past volunteer member of the Hamilton
fire dept. Johnny worked for the Andrews schools in the maintenance department
from 2001 to 2005. He was a member of the Andrews volunteer fire department
since 2002 serving as a Capitan. He was also a paramedic for the city of
Andrews. Johnny married Rhonda Chase on November 13, 1993 in Midland.
Survivors include, wife: Rhonda, Andrews, parents Bob and Lana Clark, Forsan,
Texas, father: Wayne Wendeborn, Thoreau, New Mexico, sons: Colby Wendeborn,
Andrews, Matt Morgan, Austin, Texas, daughters: Misty Vanderburg and Desiree
Tucker both of Odessa, Texas, brothers: Jeffrey Wendeborn, Gustine, Texas and
Mike Clark, Greenwood, Texas, one grand son: Max Aguilar, Odessa, Texas
He was preceded in death by grandparents John and Doris Day who lived in Big
Spring.

BILL WESCHE

Services for Billy Joe "Bill" Weschke, 75 of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM
Saturday, February 10, 2007 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be
ministers John Snider of Greenwood and Moody Conner of Andrews. Burial will
follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Bill passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at his residence. He was born on
August 18, 1931 in Littlefield, Texas. He married Jo Margaret Tunnell on April
4, 1954 in Lubbock. They moved to Andrews in 1963. Bill was a butcher for many
years before retirement. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Jo in 1997 and
one son Craig in 2004.
Survivors inclulde a son Ralph Weschke of Andrews. three grandchildren and 10
great grandchildren.
CHAD WILLIAMS
March 28, 2006
Memorial services for Chad Williams, 27, of Andrews will
be 2:00 PM Friday, March 31, 2006 in the Andrews North Cemetery. Cremation is
under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
He passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at his residence in Andrews. He was
born May 15, 1978 in Andrews to Delbert Wayne Williams and Tanya Lee Jefferson.
He graduated from Keller High School in Keller, Texas, but has lived in Andrews
for most of his life. He drove a truck for Family Dollar and J.B. Hunt. He was
preceded in death by is grandfather, Ed Jefferson in 2004.
He is survived by his 2 sons: Kandon McKinney and Triston Williams of Andrews; 1
daughter: Madison Williams of Allen; mother and stepfather: Tanya and Gerald
Schnell of Idaho Falls, Idaho; father and stepmother: Delbert and Wanda Williams
of Lake Dallas; grandmother: Wilma Jefferson of Andrews; grandparents: Charlie
and Jo Ann Crawford of Lake Dallas; 2 brothers: James J. Williams of Virginia
and Wade Williams of Rhome; 2 sisters: Shana Hillery of Watauga and Shantell
Williams of Lake Dallas; and stepsister: Katlyn Reese of Lake Dallas.

Services for Marion Ruth Williams, 79 of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Sunday,
January 15, 2006 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Brian
Johnson, Chaplain with Home Hospice and Rev. Tommy Wallace, of San Antonio,
Texas. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of
McNett Funeral Home.
Marion died Thursday, January 12, 2006 at Permian Regional Medical Center. She
was born on March 14, 1926 at Gilmer, Texas. She married S.D. Williams on July
15, 1946 in Seminole, Texas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include; daughters Sharon Starks, Andrews, Belinda McMennamy, Lubbock,
Texas, Son Ron Williams, Dallas, Texas, brother Rev. Thommy G. Wallace, San
Antonio, Texas, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and 2 great great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Ruth Tate on June 16, 1985, a
brother John Wallace and a sister Margie Wallace.
BARBARA JOYCE WILSON

Barbara Joyce Wilson, 80, of Andrews passed away Saturday, December 2, 2006
at Permian Residentual Care Center in Andrews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday December 5, 2006 at McNett Funeral Home
Chapel. Rev. Bryan Johnson from Home Hospice in Andrews will officiate. Burial
will be in Andrews North Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was born November 21, 1926 in White County, IL. She married Terry
Wilson in 1947 and they moved to Andrews in 1969 from Illinois. She worked for
Wentworth and for Kirby West. She loved to take her Grandchildren on Fishing
trips and vacations. She enjoyed playing bingo, and reading. She was a Charter
member of the Eagles Lodge and a member of the Moose Lodge both in Andrews.
She is Survived by: Two Sons - Jeffrey Wilson of Mesquite, Texas and Timothy
Wilson of Andrews, Texas; One Sister - Murial Osler of Zanesville, Ohio; Six
Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
HUBERT D. WILSON
September 25, 2006
Hubert D. Wilson 73, of Andrews passed away Monday September 25, 2006 at
Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Andrews
West Cemetery. Rev. Dwayne Wheat of Big Spring, Texas will officiate.
Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilson was born March 12, 1933 in Stonewall County, Texas. He lived in
Lubbock for several years and was a diesel mechanic for Rip Griffin Truck Stop
until he retired in 1988, and then moved to Andrews. He also lived at Lake
Thomas and Lamesa before moving back to Andrews last December.
He was a Baptist and he loved to fish, play dominoes and checkers. He was
preceded in death by his Son - Randy Wilson in 1995, and several brothers and
sisters.
He is survived by: Two brothers - Troy Wilson of New Deal, Texas and Raymond
Wilson of Meadow, Texas; Two sisters - Orlena Boydston of Jayton, Texas and Mary
Lou Spears of Alvin, Texas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Velma Mae Winchester, 90, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM
Monday, June 19, 2006 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raul Puente and
Rev. Don Swindell of Star Hospice in Odessa officiating. Burial will follow in
the Andrews West Cemetery.
She passed away on Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Home Hospice House in Odessa.
She was born June 4, 1916 in Millersview, Texas to James Robert Starnater and
Lena Billings Starnater. She was raised on the family dairy farm in Abilene and
graduated from Abilene High School in 1936. She married Monroe Bonner "M.B."
WInchester on October 1, 1938 in Abilene. They moved to Andrews in 1956 from
Odessa. She was a homemaker and a Presbyterian. She was preceded in death by her
parents; 3 sisters: Ethel Sims, Effie Warren, and Ellen Sherrill; and 1 brother:
Otha Lavon Starnater
She is survived by her 1 daughter: Deborah Martin and husband Tim of Andrews;
and 3 grandchildren: Lyndon, Misty, and Chris Martin.

DIRK WRIGHT

Dirk Wright, 43, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 5:30 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Acton United Methodist Church.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
Dirk was born Nov. 10, 1962, in Denver City to Guerry and Ann Wright. He married
Kerrie Lee, Aug. 16, 1986, in Follett. He graduated from Follett High School in
1981 and Texas Tech University in 1986. He was a football and track coach in
Andrews, Granbury and Saginaw for a total of 20 years. He also taught biology.
He was recently employed by ACES, an oil company. Dirk was well-known for his
practical jokes and fun nature. Hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors were his
favorite things to do. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Chad
Wright.
Survivors: Wife, Kerrie; children, Bailee and Hagan; parents, Guerry and Ann
Wright of Follett; aunts and uncles, Bob and Joyce Swope, Ludean and Floyd
Taylor, Stanley and Juanita Wright, Don Wright and their families; mother-in-law
and father-in-law, Bob and Janice Lee of Wilson; sisters-in-law, Tracy Brazile
and husband, Lyndon, and children, Magen and McKenzie, Mandi Seaton and husband,
Rick, and son, Jay, Shena Parks and husband, Michael; extended family; and many

Erma Wright
ANDREWS — Erma Wright, 96, a longtime resident of Andrews and locally well known
landscape artist and art teacher, passed away peacefully in Houston.
She had lived in Houston since 2003. Born in Trent, Texas, on Jan. 26, 1908, she
and her husband E.P. moved to Andrews in 1944 to be near her mother and to be
involved in the Permian Basin wartime oil production effort.
After E.P. died in 1961, Erma remained in Andrews and was active in local
business affairs (women’s clothing and beauty outlets). When she was 60, she
enrolled in an adult evening art class in Andrews High School and became
enthralled with the art of oil painting, which became the focus of the rest of
her life.
She was preceded in death by E.P.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Sue and
Carl Bullock; and a brother, Henry Scott Gross.
Her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Jean Haws of Houston; a sister, Martha
McNair of Midland, Texas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren
survive her.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, in McNett Funeral Home
Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Ramsey Humphries of Odessa.
Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett
Funeral Home.
