Haralson County, Georgia
Haralson County is located in Northwest Georgia between Carroll County on the
south, Polk County on the north, Paulding County to the east and Cleburne County, Alabama to the west. It was named for Gen. Hugh A. Haralson.
Buchanan is the County Seat and was named for President James Buchanan.
It was created in 1856 from Carroll and Polk Counties, but also has roots in
Paulding County since Polk County was formed from Paulding County in 1851.
Some of the Cities, towns and communities of Haralson County are
[Possum Snout], Waco [Dean or Wacoville],
Budapest [Maddenville], Buncombe, Corinth, Draketown, District Line, Dugdown, Felton, Flatwoods, Hooper, Little Creek, Little Vine, Liberty, Morgan, Nitra, Philadelphia, Popular Springs, Steadman,
Tokai, Wesley Chapel, Wesson, and Wild Cat.
