Petition of C.C. Eaves on Estate of John Jackson Kirk

Georgia Haralson County} To the Odrinary of said County. The petition of C. C. Eaves respectfully showeth that John Kirk resident of said county, departed this life on the 14th day of this instant leaving your petitioner as next of kin, and also leaving a considerable estate both real and personal worth Two Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars. And at the time of his death was entirely intestate, as your petitioner believes and herein alleges. Wherefore he prays the usual citation in such cases to issue in order that he may obtain permanent letters of Administration on John Kirk Estate. And your petitioner will ever pray to this January 25th 1877. Signed: C. C. Eaves

Petition of R. J. Kirk

Georgia Haralson County} To the ordinary of Said County. The Pettition of R. J. Kirk Showeth that She is the widow of John Kirk late of said county Deceased that She has five Children who are minors & Heirs of Said Estate. She prays the appointment of five discret appraisers to Set apart a Sufficient amount for the Support of herself & children for twelve months & also to Set apart a sufficient amount of Household & Kitchen furniture for the use of her Self & Children. Haralson Court of Ordinary March Term 1877. It is ordered by the Court that R. J. Kirk Widow of J. Kirk be Allowed a Twelve months support for her self and minor Children and a sufficient amount of household and Kitchen furniture and it Is further ordered that Samuel Carter, T. J. Biggers, Wm. Garner, T. G. Waldroup & A. J. Brown be and they are hereby appointed to set a side such support this March the 5't 1877. Signed: Samuel M. Davenport, Ordinary




Haralson Court of Ordinary November Term 1877. It appearing to the court that Commissioners having been appointed acording to Law to lay off and set apart the Dower of Rebecca J. Kirk Widow of John Kirk Deceased and it further appearing that said Dower has be set apart. Therefore it is Ordered by the Court that C. C. Eaves Administrator of John Kirk aforesaid pay over to Rebecca J. Kirk the Rent and effect of said Dower for the support of herself and Minor children this November the 5th 1877. Signed: S. M. Georgia, Haralson County} To the Ordinary of said County the undersigned Desires to be appointed Guardian by the Court of Ordinary of said County of Jessy B. Joseph L. Eler J. Henry M. & Velar I. Kirk residents of said county minor children of John Kirk Deceased under fourteen years of age and prays that a citation may issue reduiering all persons concerned to show cause having the Guardienship of said minor heirs, person and property may not be intrusted to her this 7th day of January 1878. Haralson court of Ordinary March Term 1878 the application Rebecca J. Kirk to be appointed Guardien of the persons and property of Jessy B. Joseph L Eler J Henry M & Velar I Kirk Residents of said county having been duly made and citation duly issued and no objection being offered and this court being more over fully satisfied that said Rebeca J. Kirk is a fit and proper person to be appointed Jessy B Joseph L Eler J Henry M & Veler I Kirks Guardien bowth of their persons and property. It is therefore Ordered by the court that said Rebeca J Kirk be and she is hereby appointed Guardien of the persons and property of Jessy B Joseph L, Eeler J, Henry M & Velar I Kirk and that she give Bond and security in the sum of Two thousand Dollars and take the usual oath of office and take that letters of Guardienship issue to her upon complying with these terms this 4th day of March 1878.
