AUTO TAGS
If you are moving to Haralson County from out of state you have 30 days to obtain your auto tag. New tags are purchased on your birthdate every year. The tag fee is $20.
You may change the title and get new tags at the Haralson County Tax Commissioners' Office, located at 4276 GA Hwy 120, Buchanan, GA. You will need to bring with you proof of ownership, proof of insurance, proof of residency and the originial title or copy of the lease agreement.

DRIVER'S LICENSE
Driver's License cost $15 and are renewed every 4 years on your birthdate. Driver's License applications are processed Tuesday through Saturday (except for holidays) at the Georgia State Patrol office.
To obtain a Learner's License, you must have a birth certificate with a seal or a certified copy of it, and a parent's signature.
Two of the Georgia State Patrol Offices are located at 746 Bankhead Hwy, Villa Rica (770-459-3549) and 1000 N Main Street (Hwy 27), Cedartown (770-749-2200).

Registration is done at many locations in the county. Newcomers are encouraged to contact the main voter registration office in the Haralson County Courthouse in Buchanan, at 770-646-2010 for more information.
