Martin Co., Texas - Obits: Randell Bryan Reavis ================================================ Submitted to the Martin County, TXGenWeb by: Michelle White ================================================ Randell Bryan Reavis "Randy", 44, of Midland (formerly of Stanton and Big Spring) passed away at his residence Sunday, May 7, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 10. 2006 at 10:00 AM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens in Midland. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 9, 2006 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. Randy was born January 23, 1962 to Rubin and Glenda Reavis in Louisville, Louisiana. He married Melinda McCollum on May 9, 1980 in Big Spring, Texas. He attended Forsan High School, a graduate from Howard College and from Permian Basin Regional Law Academy. Randy served in law enforcement as a reserve deputy in Glasscock County. He spent most of his career with the Stanton Police Department. He also worked at the Howard County Sheriff's office and was currently a reserve deputy for the Martin County Sheriff's Office. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Big Spring. Randy is survived by his wife Melinda of the home, a daughter Kelli of Midland; his parents, Rubin and Glenda Reavis of Midland; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Don Blake of Greenwood; father and mother-in-law, Joan and Weldon McCollum and several nieces and nephews.
