Name: Juil E. Reid , 87 Died: September 9, 2004, in Big spring, Texas Juil E. Reid, 87, of Stanton, died on Thursday, September 9, 2004, in a Big Spring nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, September 13, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Stanton with Rev. Daniel Armstrong, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. He was born on October 10, 1916, in Howard County, Texas and married Emma Lavelle Hayworth on September 7, 1940 in Big Spring. She preceded him in death on January 8, 1987. Mr. Reid graduated from Coahoma High School and came to Stanton in 1951 from Coahoma. He farmed in Martin County and Glasscock County for many years. He was an avid bowler and bowled until the mid 1990's. He also enjoyed fishing. Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Gossett of Stanton and Rhonda Sullivant of Bolivar, Missouri; two brothers, Clay Reid of Coahoma and Carl Dale Reid of Luther; 5 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Donna Klein and four great- grandchildren. The family will recieve friends Sunday, September 13, 2004 from 4 PM to 5 PM at the funeral home.
