Name: Margaret Allene Roueche, 92 Died: March 18, 2004, in Stanton, Texas Margaret A. Fisher Roueche, 92, of Stanton, died on Thursday, March 18, 2004, in a Stanton nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 20, 2004 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Stanton with Rev. Thomas Vempala officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Stanton. A wake service will be held Friday, March 19 at 8 PM at the funeral home. Margaret was born on February 8, 1912, to George and Mollie Fisher in Paris, Texas. She graduated from Lamar High School and attended Paris Junior College. She married John Roueche on January 11, 1942 in Weatherford, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1973. John and Margaret moved to Stanton in 1952 and opened Roueche Printing and office Supply. After John's death Margaret continued to run the business until she retired in 1978. She won many ribbons during Martin County Fairs for her china painting. She painted some beautiful pieces, and gave most away to friends. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a member of the The Altar Society, Martin County Historical Society, Stanton Home Demonstration Club, Stanton Garden Club, American Cancer Society, a board member of the Housing Authority and Martin County Hospital Auxiliary and was also a fifty plus member of Beta Sigma Phi. Survivors include her nephew, Phil Jordan and his wife Kathryn of Weatherford; her special friends, Louis and Mamie Roten of Stanton, a host of friends and the Stanton Care Center family. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and four sisters. The family suggests memorials to, St. Joseph Catholic Church, P.O.
