Right now, the names of those two have not been released. It happened on Interstate Highway 20, about five miles east of Stanton. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers tell NewsWest 9 that a Dodge pickup truck lost control, then overcorrected and flipped several times, landing upside down. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was airlifted to an Odessa hospital. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ROLLOVER CLAIMS LIFE ON INTERSTATE 20 Thursday, October 12, 2006 A man is killed and a woman is injured after a one car accident on Interstate 20 this morning. It occurred between Stanton and Big Spring near Exit 164. An Arizona couple, David Lonnie Woodard and Nancy Ellen Woodard, were traveling eastbound. Officials say for unknown reasons, the car drifted into the median. The husband tried to overcorrect just before the car skided down the highway and rolled over to the westbound lane. Neither person was wearing their seat belt. David Woodard died on the scene. Nancy Woodard was air-lifted to a nearby hospital. From Channel 2 (ABC)
