Texas Department of Public Safety troopers say two cars were heading south on Farm to Market Road 829, west of Stanton, just after one o’clock in the afternoon. Roger Stroud, of Midland, tried to make a left-hand turn. That's when Gary Bailey, of Stanton, crashed into Stroud’s vehicle. Bailey was thrown out of his vehicle. Troopers say he was not wearing a seatbelt. Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene.
