Mrs. Jesse JENKINS

Winters (RNS) - Mrs. Jessie L. Jenkins, 67, of Winters died at 8:25 a.m. Monday in the North Runnels Hospital following a short illness.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Spill Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Virgil James, pastor of the Southside Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Born Carmen Bowlin July 15, 1904 in Allen, Oklahoma, she came to Cullins (sic) County at age one with her parents. She married Jesse L. Jenkins Oct. 9, 1922, at McKinney. They then moved to Runnels County and settled in the Crews community. In 1953, they moved to the Dale community. They moved to Winters in 1969.

She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters(snip); three brothers(snip); two sisters(snip); nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bill Mayo, Wilbur Phelps, Roy Rice, Wardell Long, James Brown and Raymond Phillips.
