Clyde Tippett Funeral Is Today

WINTERS (SC) - Clyde Tippett, 75, died at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday en route to Ballinger Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with burial in Lakeview Cemetery under directon of Spill Funeral Home.

He was born Aug. 19, 1898 in Grayson County. At the age of 3 he came with his parents to Runnels County, settling in the Crews community, east of Winters.

He was married to Ella Francis Casey on Nov. 9, 1919 at Crews. In 1954, the family moved to Winters.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Bernice Tippett of Odessa and Avery Tippett of Hobbs, N.M.; six daughters, Mrs. Olemar Brooker of Denton, Mrs. Wardell Long of Winters, Mrs. Tom Aley of Big Lake, Mrs. Carroll Brooker of Hobbs, N.M., Mrs. J. R. Wilson of Palacios and Mrs. Gene Steadham of Libya, North Africa; one sister, Mrs. John Lee of Ballinger, 31 grandchildren 30 great-grandchildren.
