Jack Pruette Rites Today at Winters
Winters(RNS)-Funeral for Jack Pruette, 77, retired plumber, will be held at 2 pm. Wednesday in Spill Memorial Chapel.
The Rev. Ray Elliott, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate, assisted by the REv. Bobby L. James, pastor of the Assembly of God.
Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rankin Pate, Merrick Spill, Lloyd Wilkerson, James Lee Johnson, and Frank Johnson.
Mr. Pruette died Tuesday at 7:30 am. in Winters Memorial Hospital, where he had been since a heart attack, Oct. 25.
Born March 31, 1886 in Tarrant County, he had worked on many major plumbing projects over the nation. He married Lena Heilig on June 8, 1915 at Alton, Illinois. They came to Ballinger in 1920, moving to Winters in 1922. His wife died October 1952. Two sons also died.
Survivors are two sons, J. Norris, Carlsbad, NM., Dennis R. of University Park, NM.; 6 daughters, Mrs. Roger (Lois) Kerr, Erie, PA., Mrs. J.E. (Lorrain) Lynn, Odessa, Mrs. Clark (Louise) Tee, Claymont, Del., Mrs. Herschel (Jackie) McKnight, and Mrs. M.E. (Julia) Jenkins both of Lubbock, and Mrs. John (Lena June) Jehle, of Midland; eleven grandchildren, a sister, and three half-brothers.
