WINTERS (RNS) - Ray Riddle, 62, of Winters died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday in Bur-Mont Nurshing Home in Abilene after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Winters Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
The Rev. Jack Griffin, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Abilene, will officiate. Burial will be in Northview Cemetery.
Born July 2, 1915 in Runnels County, near Paint Rock, he lived most of his life in Winters. He was a farmer. He married Elois Ernst in 1937 in Winters. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, Gary(snip)Abilene; three daughters, Mrs. Bill Shelton (snip), Lillie Kerby (snip), and Mrs. Eddie Paulk (snip), all of Abilene; four brothers, Hoyt of Tample, Coy of Winters, Dalton and Anderson, both of Abilene; a sister, Inez Mayfield of Robert Lee; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Riddle, Joe Buchanan, Billy Joe Buchanan, Curtis Riddle, Bud Davis and Carl Shelton
