5. Kirk Lyons has provided some information on and pictures of the Sibley and Lyons families of the Abilene area. This first photograph is taken at 342 Oak Street, Abillene about 1916 and the people are identified from left to right. Clarence is Kirk Lyons' grandfather. Reed Lyons (1907-1935), Martha Ann Sibley (1862-1930), Clarence Jay Lyons (1896-1980), Julia Ardalia Lyons (1913-1997), Anna Kay Lyons (1905-1992). This family came to Buffalo Gap about 1905 and then to Abilene in about 1907.
This is a photograph of Margaret Josiephine Sibley ("Aunt Josie") and Riley Boone Williamson ("Uncle Boone")who married on 30 Jul 1903. Their first son Clyde Sibley Williamson is also shown. Aunt Josie died 20 Apr 1952.
Addie Armento Sibley b. 1873 and married J. Walter McBride in 1898, Lucy Jane Sibley (1870-1947) married to William P. Edwards, Mary Bertha Sibley (20 Mar 1864-1941)-------Middle Row; William Pallas Sibley (born Alabama 1866, Lillie Rucker Sibley married Pallas 11 Dec 1892. She is holding Rucker ("Ruck") Sibley born 18 Sep 1893. He served in WWI and later became Abilene's Chief of Police., Mary Isabella Gast Sibley born 11 Jul 1846 in Ohio. Married Milas McCullum in 1861. She is the mother of William Pallas Sibley., Martha Ann Sibley(1868-1935) Married 1891 in Alabama. Claude Nelson Lyons (1894-1976)John Henry Lyons (1867-1943) He was a Section Foreman for the Wichata Valley Railroad, retired in 1932 and lived at 342 Oak in Abilene. ------Front row (seated on floor) Cora Lee Sibley (1876-1952), Ella Chestenna Sibley born 1878 and married Samuel Washington Brewer in 1889
