My Bio

My Name is Christina Palmer. I am married to a soldier who will soon retire from the GA National Guard. I am also the mother of 3 wonderful kids and 1 granddaughter. We live in Chattanooga, TN, but I am originally from Texas. I began as a child going to cemeteries and libraries with my grandmother, as a joke we would call it Cemetery hopping. I didn't actively pick up my own research until my grandfather passed away almost 10 years ago. I realized then I did not know enough about my family and wanted to know more. I have a family history tie to Titus County through my own family and that of my son's biological father. Unfortunately, I do not live in Titus County. Most of what I can put on the Titus County site comes from generous donors and what online records I can find to transcribe.

I have served our country through the U.S. Army for 12 years. Back about 3 years ago, I began to actively volunteer within my husband unit right after he came home from his third deployment overseas. I watched every day our soldiers dying and it pained me, because I knew that could have easily been my loved one. I decided to honor our Fallen Soldiers and our Veterans through pages I created on my own site. My Fallen Soldiers list comes straight from the Department of Defense website and my Veterans list comes from Friends and Family members who wish to Honor their vets.

My hope with serving as a County Coordinator is to help others to find that missing piece to their families past.
