David Tomlinson Note to John Kelly
Know all men by there presents that I, David Tomlinson, of the County of Wilkes and state of Georgia am held & firmly bound to John Kelly of the same state & county of Columbia in the just and full sum of five hundred pounds current lawfull money of the said state the which payment well & truly to be made. I bind my self my heirs, executors administrators and assigns firmly by these presents to him the said John Kelly his heirs and assigns in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th day of August 1791.
The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound David Tomlinson do make or cause to be made unto the said John Kelly or his heirs or assigns good and sufficient titles in sum to three hundred acres of land on Little River agreeable to original survey and granted to Agness McCarty and David Tomlinson on demand then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force power & virtue
Sealed and delivered in Presents of Benj. Catching J.P. David (X) Tomlinson
February the 27th 1793
For and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & sixty five pounds specie we indorse the within bond to John Moissey (?) West for value received by us
