This indenture made this thirteenth day of February in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and twenty nine Between Joseph A Reeves of the State of Georgia and County of Wilkes of the one part and William McLaughlin of the State & County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Joseph A for the considerable sum of the sum three dollars per acre to him in hand paid by the said William the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained & sold & do by these presents bargain sell & deliver unto the said William McLaughlin his heirs & assigns a tract or parcel of Land in the State & County aforesaid on the waters of dry fork of Long Creek containing twenty one acres surveyed by Charles Smith Beginning at a willow oak X(?) on said William McLaughlin then(?) running North 20 (NR) 30 chains to a red oak stump X thereon South 14(?) (NR) 23(?) Ch(?) and 50 Linksto a white oak corner on Owens(?) branch thence up said Branch to the Beginning. To have and to hold the said Bargained Land & premises with the appurtenances thereto & every part thereof. and do hereby warrant & defend the same & every part thereof unto the said William McLaughlin, his heirs & assigns forever.
