Deed David Cosby to Henry Hurly

This Indenture made and entered into this the first day of September in the year 1833 between David Cosby of the one part and Henry Hurly of the other both of said County and State. Witnesseth that the said David Cosby for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Henry Hurly at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Henry Hurly his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in said County and State on the waters of Rockey Creek containing one hundred & forty eight acres more or less adjoining lands of Mrs. Carter, James Wingfield and others ------------ Being the same tract whereon the said Cosby now lives and conveyed by the Sheriff of said County to said Cosby by deed bearing date the 4th day of September 1832. To have and to hold the said tract of land and all and singular the rights and members & appurtenances unto the said Henry Hurly his heirs and assigns forever and I the said David Cosby the tract of land and premises aforesaid and all and singular the rights and members & appurtenances aforesaid will and do forever warrant and defend unto the said Henry Hurly his heirs and assigns against the claim of myself my heirs and assigns and against the claim of all other persons whatsoever.
